DON’T POACH THE WILDLIFE CLOSURE!
During this low snow stretch of winter it is great that some trails like Putt Putt are compact enough for people to use. An important reminder for people recreating with dogs that - due to wildlife closures there is a leash zone along the Putt Putt trail from the Nelson trailhead to the Wiggle trail junction. This may mean you need to take an alternate route if you have a pet or borrow one of the free leashes placed around the trailheads. It is difficult to bike while having your pet on a leash, especially on narrow trails. We encourage fat bikers with dogs to use the Cache and Hagen trails and bring leashes for their pets while in the trailhead area (this includes 200 feet around all trailheads).

Our crew groomed Cache, Hagen, Gauging Station, Sidewalk, and Hagen Highway last night. We’ll hit River and Ferrins in the next few days. Get out there and enjoy it!

We groomed Hagen, Gauging Station, Sidewalk, Hagen Highway, and lower Ferrins. Lee Bushong is grooming Cache up to Noker Mine in the morning!

Our trails manager, Chris, was out grooming Monday after the new snowfall. He hit Cache to Noker, Hagen, Hagen Highway, Sidewalk, and lower Ferrins. All of the trails should be in great shape!

HUGE THANKS to everyone who contributed to our winter grooming fundraiser! Your donations make this work possible. If you’d like to support the effort, our fundraiser will be live through the end of the year at the link in our profile.

Social distancing available in Cache Creek! Our crew groomed upper Cache Creek Road to Noker Mine with the sled, upper Hagen (bridge 3 to 5), and the Sidewalk trails last night. Everything near the trailhead has a track on it but it was under the rain line yesterday so we’ll save grooming those sections for the next storm cycle. If you enjoy these trails, please consider chipping in a few bucks to help pay for the grooming program. You can donate at the link in our profile.

If you enjoy winter recreating in Cache Creek (fat bike, hike, ski, dog walk) please consider donating a few bucks to the Friends of Pathways Winter Grooming Program. Those trails don't groom themselves, and this year Parks&Rec is NOT grooming the road on Mondays - FOP is! Learn more and donate via our GoFundMe page at the link in our profile.

Adams Canyon Connector Trail Update
Our Trails Manager was able to finish the connection of the Adams Canyon Connector trail on the Rafter J side this week. As of now the trail connects from the pathway on the west side of Hwy89 through the old cow tunnel to the top of Adams Canyon Road on the east side. In the spring we will host a volunteer dig day for the community to help us connect the Adams Canyon Road to the Wilson Canyon Trail.
Open
If the weather forecast proves correct, we won't be hitting the trails this weekend. But that means plenty of time to check out TCSAR’s 6th Annual WYSAW event! It's free and a great way to prepare for your winter backcountry adventures. The lineup includes industry-leading perspectives on decision making, risk management, and snow science plus adventuring in the Covid era.
