ABOUT FRIENDS OF PATHWAYS
Founded in 1994, Friends of Pathways is Teton County’s champion for pathways, trails, bike lanes and sidewalks that encourage sustainable transportation and healthy recreation in our Jackson Hole community. Our decades-long work has resulted in a 70-mile multi-use pathway network and a 150-mile system of dirt trails that wind through Teton County, the Bridger-Teton National Forest and Grand Teton National Park. These assets are well-loved and used by thousands of people a day providing safe, enjoyable and accessible connections to work, school and Jackson Hole’s great outdoors.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Development & Operations Manager is a full-time salaried position with competitive benefits including comprehensive health & dental, paid time off, simple IRA match and flexible scheduling. The D&O Manager will play an integral role in charting and sustaining FOP’s fundraising efforts as well as supporting daily operations and events. The position reports to the Executive Director but works collaboratively with all FOP employees.
JOB DUTIES
Assists Executive Director with fundraising operations, including grant writing, business sponsorship acquisition, organizing donor events and overseeing FOP’s donor database (CRM). Provides office operations and outreach support and serves as a liaison to the FOP Board of Directors.
DEVELOPMENT (65% of time)
- Works closely with the Executive Director to achieve annual fundraising goals through individual gifts, foundation grants, businesses, sales & events and service contracts.
- Creates and executes annual Development Plan; assists with grant writing & reporting
- Develops and maintains donor database CRM; Manages fundraising campaigns and appeals
- Assists with planning and executing donor events
- Point person for Old Bill’s Fun Run
- Coordinates Board Development Committee
OFFICE OPERATIONS (35% of time)
- Oversees day to day office operations; Coordinates with accounting and bookkeeping services; Responds to email, web and phone inquiries, concerns and feedback
- Serves as liaison to FOP Board; Coordinates quarterly Board meetings and is the point person for meeting set-up, zoom links, minute taking and refreshments
- Represents FOP at events and assists with event execution when needed
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The D&O Manager will be part of a small staff of full-time FOP employees (currently 3 full-time) and as such must be a team player – ready to pitch in where needed or asked. While the main priority of this position will be fundraising, there are also some components of basic office management and public outreach.
Desired skills:
- 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development or comparable experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, Power Point) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g. Neon, Donor Perfect, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or other comparable experience with database management)
- Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills
- Adept at meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects
- Public speaking skills and comfortable working with the public
- Great enthusiasm for FOP’s mission and work in the community.
Anticipated Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 depending on experience.
