Join us for a curated screening of short films celebrating the bicycle – plus a bike shop vendor village, food, music, drinks and raffle prizes.

Friends of Pathways and Snake River Brewing present Bicycle Film Festival Jackson Hole. Join us at 7 p.m. in the Center Theater for a curated screening of short films celebrating the bicycle. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a bike shop vendor village, raffle prizes, music, and pizza from Pinky Gs food truck. Mingle with your cycling friends, then head inside the theater and take a two-wheeled journey around the globe.

Bring the whole family – FREE childcare will be provided at the event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for children ages 3 and older, who are potty trained.

BFF films will play from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Bicycle Film Festival has been celebrating bicycles through art, film, and music over the last 26 years. The BFF has spanned the world in 100 cities worldwide to and audience of one million people. BFF Jackson Hole presents an international short film program that will appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everyone in between. Curated documentaries, narratives, animations, award-winning directors, and emerging talents all sharing equal billing.

The bike lanes are back, and earlier this year thanks to the warm weather. Early season conditions exist - like some sand and winter road debris, and there is a detour around Garaman Park. So be careful on your first ride of the season and remember to:

1. Be nice, Say hi!
2. Keep right, pass left
3. Ring your bell when passing
4. Be pro, go slow around others
5. Stop at the stop signs

Thanks to this year’s warm, early-season weather, the pathway north of Jackson along Highway 89 is opening nearly three weeks ahead of schedule, giving the community an early start on spring biking, walking, and outdoor recreation.

Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation, in coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is preparing the pathway to open this Saturday, April 11.

Pathway users are asked to use caution and give wildlife the right of way as animals continue to migrate off the National Elk Refuge. The public is reminded to provide wildlife plenty of space and to continue honoring wildlife closures until they are lifted May 1.

🚨 Garaman Pathway Safety Upgrades To Close Pathway Through Mid-May ⚠️

Beginning April 7 through mid-May, the pathway through Garaman Park will be temporarily closed while important safety improvements are installed. As pathway use continues to grow — including increased e-bike activity — the @townofjacksonwy and @tetoncounty are making thoughtful upgrades designed to help everyone travel safely and comfortably.

The project will introduce features that naturally encourage slower speeds through the park, including a small roundabout, rumble strips, pavement markings, and chicane gates that guide cyclists through a gentle S-turn. These tools help create a calmer environment where walkers, runners, families, and riders can share the pathway with greater confidence.

During construction, the pathway will be closed from just west of the Flat Creek Bridge near the Josie’s Ridge trailhead to the tunnel at the south end of Hidden Ranch. Clearly marked detours will direct pathway users via Powderhorn, Meadowlark, and the east side of US 89 / West Broadway. Cyclists using sidewalks along US 89 should please yield to pedestrians. Access to Garaman Park will remain available via Crabtree Lane, and access to KC Ridge, Josie’s, and Forest Service trails via Elk Run Lane will resume once seasonal wildlife closures lift on May 1.

We are grateful to the Garaman Family’s Charitable Foundation for supporting this investment in community safety. These improvements reflect our shared commitment to a pathways system that works for everyone — helping keep Jackson a place where active transportation is safe, convenient, and enjoyable.

Cache Creek winter trails report for Thursday March 5, 2026: As you can imagine the warm temps and another round of rain have made the icy spots icier and more prevalent and melted out a lot more terrain, especially in the sunny spots. In short, it’s pretty sketchy out there!

Cache Creek winter trails report for Thursday March 5, 2026: As you can imagine the warm temps and another round of rain have made the icy spots icier and more prevalent and melted out a lot more terrain, especially in the sunny spots. In short, it’s pretty sketchy out there!

Cache creek Winter trails update 2/27/26:

We were able to groom upper Hagen (barely) and the cache creek road up to noker mine. Everything else had been rained on so much that it’s mostly ice i.e. there’s nothing soft enough to groom.

These photos will give you an idea of how April-like it is out there.

The trails are all open for travel but extremely icy everywhere except Hagen from bridge 5 to bridge 3 which is just icy in spots 🤣. Honestly, most folks would consider it too treacherous to have fun on. The stuff in the shade is staying firm but the open areas are softening up by late morning - please don’t ride this when the ice turns slushy!

Cache creek sidewalk is melting down to mud in a lot of areas so we’d recommend staying off of it completely unless it’s a.m. frozen solid. Yaktrax and studded tires are highly recommended!

Please be careful on the trails - if it's slushy, please stay off. If your tires are leaving ruts, it's too warm to ride!

Keep your fingers crossed 🤞 for a freeze tonight and we should be able to groom tomorrow.

We're doing our best to maintain 12+ miles of winter singletrack in Cache Creek - the only free winter singletrack in Jackson Hole! Thank you for your support!!

The combination of low snowfall amounts, warm temperatures and rain have kept the snowpack thin for the entire winter thus far. Our singletrack groomer doesn’t have blades, tracks and a tiller to churn up old snow and lay down a fresh track, like a snowcat groomer does. So, to groom trails like Hagen and Putt Putt, we depend on enough fresh snow to be compacted and cover the old snow surface. And there just hasn’t been a lot of fresh snow at low elevations this winter.

Until now!

Now that it’s snowed, we were able to get the snowmobile with the drag on upper Hagan from Bridge five to Bridge three as well as Hagen Highway. There’s a lot of ice underneath the new snow, which has bonded well in some spots, but not everywhere, so it’s a mixed bag.

Hagen, Hagen Highway, Sink or Swim and Ferrins are open for travel but use caution. Before this recent snow, Cache creek sidewalk had melted down to dirt in a lot of areas with the rest being icy hardpack. Use caution and please avoid travel while temperatures are above freezing.

The weather forecast for next week looks promising so there’s hope that we can get into a regular winter grooming schedule later this month. In the meantime put on your yaktrax or studded tires and enjoy!
