Its been a busy 2 weeks! We finished a new connector trail from Ski Lake to Phillip’s Pass making a loop option to take some pressure of the busy Ski Lake trail. The new loop is 0.8 miles longer and named the Scenic Route for reasons you will have to discover for yourself. We also started work on some of the Munger State trails, clearing corridor and installing the first of 3 bridges. This trail network with connector the the Munger Mountain trail system on the national forest and give people 5 more miles of loop options while connecting the Butler Creek and Red Top Meadows neighborhoods. We also got the Skyline trail open on Wednesday after clearing 25 trees that had fallen over the winter. We also got new downed trees on Ferrins, Wilson Canyon, West Game, Blacks, and Cache Creek bringing our total up to 492 trees for the year so far. We also worked on treating weeds on Game, West Game, Putt Putt, Sidewalk, Munger State Lands, and the new Trail Creek Connector. We finally worked on closing some short cuts on trails in the Snow King area. The weather looks great for the holiday weekend so get out and enjoy the trails!
